Sure thing! First of all, see if the band is doing anything like a meet and greet, hanging out at a tent, etc before going through the stalking process. A lot of times, bands will hang out at a merch table, tent, etc or do something like, “if you buy a CD, you can meet us so we sign it” and things like that. If none of that is offered or available, hang out by the sides of the stages, walk around close to back stage areas, talk to people, things like that. Hang out by the barricade to the busses and be patient. Sometimes they’ll see fans standing there and come over and say hi. If they don’t, try to talk to everyone you can and if you’re lucky they might let you meet some people. Just hang around, talk to people, be friendly, and you’ll probably get lucky :)

I love you guys for being so excited for me! I applied to Disney in January when I was on vacation and was put on the waiting list. I just got a call today saying they had a job available for me working the Backlot Tour in Hollywood Studios! I’ll be helping with the ride, operating it, etc :) 

I’m SO excited and this is exactly what I wanted and I’m positive that I’ll regret it if I don’t take it. The only problem is that I live in New York and have a job, and they want me NEXT WEEK. So I’d have to quit my job after only a month, pack up, find an apartment there, move down to Florida and jump right into it and just hope that I’d be making enough to support myself. So it’s a huge decision to make…

Hang out around the busses, if possible, meet the band before trying to get on their bus to show them you’re not trying to stalk/rape/murder them. Some bands strictly do NOT allow you on their bus no matter what, so keep that in mind. Be friendly and likable. No band is gonna invite you onto their bus if they don’t want your company. Your best bet is to hang out around them, talk to them, etc and if you’re lucky they’ll either invite you on, or they’ll say yes when you ask them

GET THERE EARLY. The earlier you get there, the earlier you go in. The earlier you go in, the better chance you have at getting to the front. Don’t be the asshole who gets there right before the concert with the plan to plow through everyone who got there hours before to get their spot in the front. Enjoy yourself! You’re gonna have a great time.

To be eligible for a press/photo pass to cover the VANS WARPED TOUR, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You MUST be on editorial assignment with an outlet (print, online, TV) that publishes music coverage
  • Myspace, Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, Tumblr, and YouTube pages are NOT considered as eligible outlets for media credentials
  • Photography websites or photographers looking to build a portfolio will NOT be credentialed
  • Your website must be active with current music coverage (that’s been updated within the last 2 months)
  • If you’re with a print outlet, SEND a current copy of your publication to Libby Coffey and Bari Lieberman at MSO (14724 Ventura Blvd, Suite 500, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403)
  • If you meet the above requirements, you will be required to fill out a press request form. To receive the form, please send an email no earlier than March or April to Libby Coffey (lcoffey@msopr.com) and Bari Lieberman (blieberman@msopr.com)
